How can I remove dryed latex paint splater off of a new car, without damaging the original finish?

I had a body shop instructor try a few different compounds with no results. Another body shop person suggested using a DA with 150 or 100 grit sand paper but there still a chance of damaging the cars surface. Does anyone know of a good product that will remove latex paint, without damaging the cars original finish?
Most of the The splater is quite heavy, almost a solid coating along the bottom of the doors. The sugestions recieved so far are good in the spotted areas but I believe would take a very long time to remove the paint from the heavy coated areas. I am looking for something to disolve the paint quickly, without harming the finish,

go to home – depot go back where the window cleaners are at get a can of DERTEX spray it on the splaterd paint wait a second or two take your finger-nail scrach it gentle after all the splater is gone wash & wax look you cant even tell that well never mind you have your baby shiney and clean by the way i am a painter
