Center Cupola

Correct word usage in context? Did I phrase it correctly?

Okay, I know the definitions of these words. I’m not asking you to do my homework. I’m just not sure how to make them into sentences, well I do, but I would like you to check if the usage of each word is valid. Thanks.
cupola – Can you say: The viewer, located at the cupola … ? I’m not sure if that part of the sentence makes sense. The definition is a dome-like structure used for observing.
labial – The definition is where a pipe used to convey hot air like a chimney, etc. Can you say something along the lines of: The labial was an important feature ?
newel – vertical support at the center of a circular staircase is the definition. I need a sentence to relate with the others, I can’t seem to think of one, help please?
Can you also say: on a cupola?

I’d probably say “in the cupola” instead of “at.”

Second one seems fine.

Usually I’ve seen references to the newel post. How about this: “The newel post is located at the bottom of the staircase leading to the cupola.”

Is that hard?
