Do I have higher priority when flying standby if I’m on the frequent flyer program?

I know there are a lot of things that can effect which standby passengers get to go on first, so I was wondering if being a part of the frequent flyer program would put me at a higher priority?

Many airlines give priority to standby passengers who are members of that airline’s frequent flier program, with the highest priority going to those with the highest elite status in the program. Southwest, however, is not one of them, because they don’t offer standby on paid tickets like other airlines do. To get onto an earlier flight with a paid ticket, one must either have a full-fare ticket or buy up to a full-fare ticket. Once that occurs, and there is space available, a reservation on the earlier flight is automatically confirmed.

If you are speaking of flying standby on a buddy pass or a similar type of pass received from an employee, the holders of these types of passes are last on the priority list — after all paid passengers, crew (and other positive-space employees, who must get onto the flight). Because these passes are non-revenue, I don’t believe that being a member of Rapid Rewards (which only gives credits on revenue tickets) will increase the priority of who boards first among the employee space-available passes.
