Gauge Tank Car
Which is Accurate – Fuel Gauge or Fuel Tank?
My car has an 18 gallon gas tank yet when the fuel gauge is near empty and I refuel it usually takes anywhere from 13 – 14 gallons before the pump automatically shuts off.
In the past it would take 16 to 16.5 gallons.
Do have more fuel in the tank than my gas gauge indicates?
Yes you do have more fuel in your tank than what the fuel guage indicates.The problem is more than likely your fuel tank sending unit inside the tank,usually the fuel guage is trouble free for the life of your vehicle.
