How do fiber optic cables use light?
Hello I was wonering how does fiber optic cables use light?
They are actually high quality flexible glass fibers able to transmit light from one end to the other.
The interesting part is how information is transmitted over those fibers, and that is by modulating the light source with the information with a detector on the receiving end to decode that information.
But I think that is a different subject.
