Rail Penn Central
train schedules from Newark, NJ (airport) to Albany N.Y.?
I would arrive by plane to Newark at 1:05 p.m. must travel by bus or rail to Penn/Central Station & take train from Penn/Central Station to Albany , NY Station
When you get off your plane look for the Airtrain and it will take you to the Newark Airport Amtrak/NJ Transit station. Because you can actually get the Amtrak or NJ Transit from Newark airport. Take either one to Penn Station, the Penn Station in New York, NY, not Newark, NJ.
From New York Penn, there’s a 2:20 pm Empire Service train to Albany but you probably won’t make that. The next one is at 5:45 pm. You should definitely be able to make that one.
I would just get on the next thing going to Penn Station from Newark Airport, the schedule doesn’t really matter because the Empire Service is the train that really matters for you. Getting from Newark to New York is cake.

Pennsy Blues, Conrail in the Keystone State $29.95 The great Pennsylvania Railroad dominated its namesake state. After the Penn Central merger debacle, the Federal Government assumed control of most of the northeastern roads. The Consolidated Rail Corporation, was set up to operate these lines. There were a lot of lines to operate, upgrade and consolidate in the Keystone State and Conrail did a masterful job, eventually going public and making t… |

Ghost Rails 1850-1980 Volume 1 $139.95 “‘Ghost Rails’ is the first of five planned volumes that detail the history of railroads 1850-1980, the industries they served, and their last runs. The unique geography and location of the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio state lines make these railroads the true “Northwest Passage” and the industrial gateway to America. “Volume I in many ways is as good as a railroad history can get!
