Road Gondola
Places to visit in California?
I am thinking about taking my boyfriend on a road trip up the coast. We live in San Diego so I want to head north for a few days. Some places I had in mind where San Fran, Catalina Island, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of going Hearst Castle, riding the gondolas in Long Beach, maybe a hot air balloon ride. Any other attractions we should stop for? Everyone is giving me cities to visit but I need attractions too. I want to take him to special places we have never been before, maybe some hidden spots or areas that aren’t too, too popular. No cities please, just romantic places we can visit.
You need to visit Point Lobos National Park which is on the coast south of Monterey Bay. It is never very busy and the scenery is awesome. There are tidepools and cliffs and sea otters and seals and all sorts of birds everywhere. Very cool and it is basically on your way if you are already going from Hearst Castle to San Fran. It is maybe 3 hours north of San Simeon.
