Is there such thing as solid rubber tires?
meaning the tires aren’t filled with air, they are simply solid rubber making them impossible to go flat in the conventional way. if there is such a thing, anyone know a website that has info on them?
they was a thing as solid rubber car and truck tires back in the day infact semi trucks used to run them about 25 years ago but the price and weight of the tire was too much and they use alot of rubber to make infact one semi tire made of solid rubber could makeabout 6 conventional tires of today.. but there is a new tire that michelin makes called the tweel that has no sidewalls and no air just go to www.google.com and type airless tire and you will see links to the tweel.
